How to Use the QR Codes in VEDV Books for Learning at Home

Digital Learning VEDV Editorial Team 2 min read

Printed books are still the heart of the classroom, but learning does not stop when the school bell rings. That is why VEDV books come with QR codes that connect each book to digital learning content students can use at home.

Where to find the QR code

Look on the back cover of your VEDV book. You will see a QR code with a short code printed beside it. Many chapters also have their own QR code on the first page.

How to open the digital content

  1. Sign in: open the VEDV app or website and sign in with Google, using the student or teacher account your school registered.
  2. Scan: choose “Scan Code” and point your camera at the QR code.
  3. No camera? Type the short code printed beside the QR code instead.
  4. Learn: the book opens with its chapters, lesson videos, worksheets and quizzes.

Making the most of it at home

Watch, then read

Before revising a chapter, watch its lesson video first. Then read the chapter in the printed book. The video gives the big picture; the book fills in the details.

Practise with worksheets

Download the chapter worksheets and solve them without looking at the book. Then check the answers together and revisit any part that was difficult.

Check understanding with quizzes

Chapter quizzes are a quick way to see what your child has understood. A low score is not a problem; it simply shows which topic to revise next.

Tips for parents

  • Sit with younger children for the first few sessions until they are comfortable.
  • Keep screen time purposeful: one video and one worksheet is a complete revision session.
  • Ask your child to teach you what they learnt. Explaining is one of the best ways to remember.
